Vision: To promote grass-root innovation leading to incubation of start-ups in the

Mission: To develop an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship at MIET with
adequate infrastructure that can enable students and faculty to innovate, prototype and
commercialise their potential ideas

MIET Achieves Prestigious 4-Star Rating
MIET has been awarded a 4-star rating by the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India, for its outstanding efforts in promoting innovation and startups during the IIC Calendar Year 2023-24. Ranked among the top 200 institutions nationwide and the top 20 in North West India, MIET continues to foster a thriving ecosystem of creativity, research, and entrepreneurship. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our faculty members and IIC team, who have consistently organized impactful innovative activities throughout the year.
Functions of IIC
- Promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an
innovation promotion eco – system in the campus - To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by
Central MIC in time bounded fashion. - Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
- Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors,
professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators. - Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
- Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out
by institution’s faculty and students. - Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini challenges etc., with the involvement
of industries.
