The Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in Jammu actively promotes innovation and entrepreneurship through various initiatives. Recently, MIET collaborated with FICCI FLO JKL to organize the “Uday Seed JK Startups Conclave,” bringing together founders, investors, and industry stakeholders to support the local startup ecosystem. Through such events and programs, MIET aims to empower aspiring entrepreneurs and contribute to regional economic growth by fostering networking, mentorship, and investment opportunities.

JK StartUp Conclave

Celebrating entrepreneurship and innovation, the Jammu Kashmir Startup Conclave 2024 was successfully hosted by Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in collaboration with FICCI FLO JKL on November 8th. The event highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit of J&K, providing a platform for budding entrepreneurs to share ideas and connect with industry leaders. Esteemed speakers, including Mr. Bhuvan Gupta, Dr. Aarti Gupta, Mr. Mahavir Pratap Sharma, and Dr. Deepak Motwani, shared valuable insights on building startups, overcoming challenges, and scaling operations. Senior government officials, Dr. Arun Kumar Manhas, Mr. Rajinder Kumar Sharma, and Sh. G. Velladurai, reinforced the government’s commitment to fostering a strong startup ecosystem. The Startup Pride Awards recognized 10 innovative startups, while early-stage startups received over Rs. 2.5 lakhs for their promising potential. The Elevator Pitch Competition attracted over 500 entries from institutions across the region, showcasing exceptional energy and innovation. The conclave was a significant step toward fostering growth, learning, and empowerment for the next generation of entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir.

SEED

The SEED (Startup Ecosystem for Entrepreneurial Development) initiative at the Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) Jammu is a comprehensive program designed to nurture and support innovative minds and foster a thriving startup ecosystem. Through SEED, MIET aims to create a conducive environment where aspiring entrepreneurs can transform their ideas into successful ventures.
